Developed for Medical Liaisons and Clinical Medical Managers, SPOT is a comprehensive tool that aids in assessing study performance at clinical sites. The platform provides essential insights into enrollment, retention, and patient information, while also enhancing collaboration through dose surveillance and titration data.

Navigating clinical trials presents significant challenges for Medical Liaisons. The lack of timely access to essential participant enrollment and retention data can hinder effective engagement with clinical sites, making it difficult to enhance recruitment efforts. Additionally, healthcare providers often struggle without comprehensive insights into health measurements, which are crucial for fostering productive dialogues with investigators and ensuring participant retention.
Challenge
We collaborated extensively with various stakeholders to analyze the current challenges faced in site operations. By mapping the user journey and conducting in-depth discussions, we identified critical pain points and the tasks that need to be addressed.
Leveraging our findings, we examined the interconnected ecosystem of site operations to enhance the flow of information between stakeholders, ultimately aiming to strengthen relationships and utilize site performance data to maximize productivity.
Approach

SPOT empowers Medical Liaisons (MLs) with essential tools to assess site performance and plan targeted support by tracking enrollment trends and comparing site metrics against national benchmarks, fostering meaningful discussions with investigators. It provides on-demand insights into participant health metrics, enabling MLs to identify outliers and understand needs, while streamlining data gathering and delivering actionable insights on screening failures. Ultimately, SPOT enhances care coordination by organizing key health information for more effective interactions with healthcare providers.

Key features

Halfway through the project, enhancing collaboration transparency became a central focus and area of interest, particularly as upper management began engaging in discussions around it. Within the site collaboration suite, our product emerged as a key platform for facilitating communication and collaboration among on-site stakeholders. This shift required us to analyze pain points and conduct interviews with key stakeholders—mainly Medical Liaisons (MLs), who primarily interact with Principal Investigators (PIs) and Clinical Research Associates (CRAs).
